An international consulting management company, Arthur D’Little (ADL), together with Career Development Center University of Indonesia (CDC-UI) and Career Development Center Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (CDC FEB-UI) have conducted offline internship seminar with the title: “Internship 2023 Info Session & Case Study Workshop” held at the FEB UI Student Center (SC). This seminar was held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 starting at 14.00-16.40 WIB. This activity was targeted especially for UI students who wish to find out more about career opportunities at an international consulting firm, specifically at ADL. The aim of this seminar is for students to get information regarding ADL companies, work culture at ADL, and career opportunities, especially internships at ADL, so that many students and new graduates from UI can start their careers with ADL. This activity was attended by participants enthusiastically from start to finish, where participants who registered reached 201 people.

Perusahaan manajemen konsulting internasional, Arthur D’Little (ADL), bersama dengan Career Development Center Universitas Indonesia (CDC-UI) dan Career Development Center Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Indonesia (CDC FEB-UI) telah melaksanakan kegiatan seminar magang dengan tajuk “Internship 2023 Info Session & Case Study Workshop” secara luring atau offline dan diselenggarakan di Student Center (SC) FEB UI. Seminar ini dilaksanakan pada hari Rabu, 12 April 2023 mulai pukul 14.00-16.40 WIB. Kegiatan ini diperuntukkan khususnya mahasiswa UI yang ingin mengetahui lebih lanjut mengenai peluang karier di perusahaan konsulting internasional, yaitu ADL. Tujuan dari seminar ini adalah agar mahasiswa mendapatkan informasi terkait perusahaan ADL, budaya kerja di ADL, serta peluang karier khususnya internship di ADL, sehingga banyak mahasiswa maupun lulusan baru dari UI yang dapat memulai kariernya bersama dengan ADL. Kegiatan ini diikuti peserta dengan antusias sejak awal hingga akhir, dimana peserta yang mendaftar mencapai 201 orang.

This seminar activity was hosted by the MC from ADL, namely Mr. Edric Fong as a Business Analyst at ADL. The event began with an opening by the MC then remarks by Mrs. Sri Daryanti, as Deputy Head of CDC-UI and Mrs. Irfani Fithria as Head of Student Affairs FEB UI. After remarks from UI representatives, the event continued with an introduction from the ADL, delivered by Mr. Yuma Ito as Partner / Head of Southeast Asia at ADL.

Kegiatan seminar ini dibawakan oleh MC dari ADL, yaitu Mas Edric Fong selaku Business Analyst di ADL. Acara diawali dengan pembukaan oleh MC kemudian pemberian sambutan oleh Ibu Sri Daryanti, selaku Wakil Kepala CDC-UI dan Ibu Irfani Fithria selaku Kepala Kemahasiswaan FEB UI. Setelah sambutan dari pihak UI, dilanjutkan dengan perkenalan dari pihak ADL yaitu oleh Mr. Yuma Ito selaku Partner / Head of Southeast Asia di ADL.

After remarks and introductions from ADL representatives, the activity continued with sharing experiences of working in a consulting management company and projects that had been carried out by speakers from the ADL team, namely Mr. Edric Fong as a Business Analyst, Mr. Prakarsa Mulyo as a Consultant, and Ms. Amanda Djojonegoro as Manager.

Setelah sambutan dan perkenalan dari perwakilan ADL, kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan sharing pengalaman bekerja di perusahaan manajemen konsulting dan project-project yang pernah dikerjakan oleh pembicara dari tim ADL, yaitu Mas Edric Fong selaku Business Analyst, Mas Prakarsa Mulyo selaku Consultant, dan Mba Amanda Djojonegoro selaku Manager.

After the sharing session, ADL also gave a presentation about careers at ADL, including information about the internships that were opened at ADL. After the presentation was given, participants were given the opportunity to ask questions and they looked enthusiastic to ask questions. However, due to limited time, only 4 people were chosen to ask questions and the rest of them could deliver their questions at the end of the event.

Setelah sharing yang diberikan, pihak ADL juga memberikan presentasi mengenai kesempatan berkarier di ADL, termasuk informasi mengenai internship yang dibuka di ADL. Setelah pemaparan diberikan, peserta diberikan kesempatan untuk bertanya. Banyak peserta yang terlihat antusias untuk bertanya. Namun dikarenakan waktu yang terbatas, hanya dipilih 4 orang untuk menyampaikan pertanyaan dan peserta lainnya yang belum mendapatkan kesempatan dapat menyampaikan pertanyaannya di akhir acara.

The event continued with a case study workshop, where ADL delivered case material and the participants were divided into groups of 4-5 people to solve the case in about 15 minutes. After 15 minutes of discussion, 2 groups were invited to present their results and given responses from the ADL team. The best team got souvenir from the ADL.

Acara dilanjutkan dengan workshop study case, dimana ADL menyampaikan materi kasus dan para peserta dibagi menjadi kelompok beranggotakan 4-5 orang untuk menyelesaikan kasus tersebut dalam waktu sekitar 15 menit. Setelah 15 menit berdiskusi tersebut, 2 kelompok dipersilakan untuk mempresentasikan hasilnya dan diberikan tanggapan dari tim ADL. Satu tim terbaik mendapatkan souvenir dari pihak ADL.

The seminar ran smoothly without any significant disturbances until the end and was attended total by 79 participants consisting of students and several UI alumni. The majority of participants who attended were students from FEB, but there were also students from other faculties, such as FT and FMIPA. By delivering very informative material from the speakers, it is hoped that it will provide many benefits for all parties.

Kegiatan seminar ini dapat berjalan lancar tanpa ada gangguan yang berarti sampai akhir dan dihadiri oleh 79 peserta yang terdiri atas mahasiswa dan beberapa alumni UI. Peserta yang hadir mayoritas merupakan mahasiswa dari FEB, namun terdapat pula mahasiswa dari fakultas lain, seperti FT dan FMIPA. Dengan penyampaian materi yang sangat informatif dari para pembicara diharapkan dapat memberikan banyak manfaat bagi seluruh pihak.
