Job Description

The Role
The primary role of a Tax Specialist is to ensure that taxes are accounted and documented appropriately to prevent fines. The role processes complex tax paperwork and government forms, appropriately documenting business activities to make it easier to prepare annual tax returns. Tax Specialist audits company records to identify and correct any mistakes or source missing documents. The role creates a tax payment schedule and helps manage clients’ tax budgets. Tax Specialist also serves a supervisory and consulting position where they recommend company policies to enable savings on taxes. They research tax laws and stay up to date on the potential tax liabilities in their industry.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare tax payments monthly in timely and accurate manner (Pph 21, Pph 23, Pph 25, Pph 26, Ppn)
• Estimate and track tax returns in timely and accurate manner
• Complete monthly and annual tax reports in timely and accurate manner
• Organise and update the company’s tax database
• Monitor withholding tax receipt an liaise with admin invoice to collect withholding tax receipt from client (Pph 23)
• Complete annual transfer pricing document
• Recommend tax strategies that align with business goals
• Review tax returns yearly tax projections
• Share financial data with the accounting department
• Identify tax savings and suggest ways to increase profits
• Follow industry trends and track changes related to taxes
• Liaise with auditors as necessary
• Forecast tax predictions and provide to management
• Understand the financial and operational implications of various tax laws and ensure the company complies with all relevant provisions
• Monitor current and impending changes to tax regulations and make appropriate updates to policies and strategies

 

Required Skills
• Graduated from bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant subject; industry certification (e.g. Brevet A and B) is preferred
• Proven work experience at least 5 years as a Tax Accountant, Tax Analyst or Tax Preparer
• Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
• Familiarity with accounting software packages
• Strong numeracy skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Good customer service skills
• Possess good command of written and spoken English
• Computer literate (MS Excel in particular) and willing to work under a tight deadline
• Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and time management skills. Self-motivated, dynamic, and proactive.

Working scheme:
• Mix between desk-bound and remote working
• Full-time position is available
