In 1986,PT Asahimas Chemical (ASC) was established as a multinational company. In 1989, ASC started operating its integrated Chlor Alkali-Vinyl Chloride production complex. Over the years, the complex has expanded in several phases, substatianly increasing its production capacity. At present, in total investment which has been made in the said complex is USD 1.5 Billion.
By focusing on chemical and industrial markets, ASC is capable of producingCaustic Soda (NaOH), Ethylene Dichoride (EDC), Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM), Polyvinyl Chloride, Hydrochloric Acid (HCI) and Sodium Hypochorite (NaCLo). After the expansion of its plants in 2016, ASC becomes the largest integrated Chlor Alkali-Vinyl Chloride Plant in Southeast Asia.
Asc’s Shareholders consist of AGC Inc-Japan, PT Rodamas-Indonesia, Benny Suherman-indonesia, and Mitsubishi Corporation-Japan
